The International Equestrian Federation sees a great interest in the event every year. This year the event is even more important, as it is preceded and followed by other major international show-jumping events in Šamorín and Prague.

“Although it may seem that we are competing with the organisers of the other two events, which take place one week before and one week after our event, it is very often the opposite. Some riders come to Olomouc right after the CSIO in Šamorín and some go on to the CSIO in Prague. Some riders even take part in all three events,” said Barbora Hubáčková, President of the Event.

The organisers had to turn down a number of riders who wanted to take part in the CSI in Olomouc. “Unfortunately, we cannot accept any more horses due to capacity reasons, there is no more stabling space available, and the sporting programme is so full that we are planning competitions from early morning until late afternoon,” said Kristýna Koutná, Director of Equine Sport Center Olomouc.

In total, more than three hundred horses and more than two hundred riders from fifteen countries – Bulgaria, Estonia, Japan, Lithuania, Hungary, Germany, New Zealand, Poland, Austria, Romania, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and of course, the Czech Republic – are coming to Olomouc. Fifty-eight Czech riders will be competing with 93 horses. Last year’s Grand Prix winner, Sára Vingrálková, is returning to defend her victory with her horses Kas-Sini DC and Pegasus Cekanane. The tree-time winner of the Olomouc World Cup, Aleš Opatrný, will also be present with his horses Congstar, Cross Over SR and Sandro of Chin. Kamil Papoušek, the winner of the recent Grand Prix CSI2* in Zduchovice, will also be coming to Olomouc. He will ride Vivano Blue, Messi´s Cool Lady and I-Crumble Air in the arena of the Equine Sport Centre.

Poland is sending the second largest team of riders, followed by a strong Slovak team with members of the Slovak national A team – Bronislav Chudyba, Dominika Gaalová, Andrej Hollý, David Horvát, Radovan Šillo and Radovan Cibere, a stable member of the team, who has been based in Olomouc for many years

The 2024 Banka CREDITAS CSI2*-W Olomouc will take place from 20th to 23rd June. More details about the programme can be found at www.csiolomouc.cz.
